Bob was a valued member of Basing Singers from 2002, singing in the bass section for nearly 20 years.  He also became a committee member, then the choir librarian.  He was always cheerful, always full of tall tales that no-one could tell whether to believe or not, and always with that impish gleam of humour in his eye.  As well as his time and effort, transporting staging for our concerts in his trailer and then helping to assemble it and take it down again at the end of a concert, he was a generous donor to the choir, paying for items of choir uniform, music purchases and a keyboard.  When he retired from singing at the end of 2019 we made him the first life member of the choir, which virtually moved him to tears when we made the presentation.  He became a constant member of our audience while his health allowed it, always wearing his Basing Singers' sweatshirt.  The attached picture of the choir is the best one I could find with Bob in it.

Bless you Bob, we were the better for knowing you.
